1. No account needed. You can chat with a stranger without signing up, giving a name, an email, or a phone number.
2. Every conversation gets a fresh, made-up look. The avatar and name shown to a chat partner are generated from that one conversation — not from you personally — and change with every new match, so a stranger can't recognize you across different conversations.
3. We also generate one name/avatar for how you see yourself in the app (under "My profile"). That one is only ever shown to you, never to a chat partner, and only lasts until you close the tab.
4. Live messages are kept briefly, then deleted. While you're chatting, your messages are stored just long enough to let the conversation survive a refresh or dropped connection.
5. Past conversations you choose to keep viewing are stored for up to 30 days from your device, so you can look back at them from the menu, then deleted automatically.
6. If a conversation is reported, we may keep a copy longer than usual so a moderator can review it.
7. We store a scrambled (hashed) version of your device/connection info, not your raw IP address, to detect abuse, apply blocks, and enforce bans.
8. Interests you type in are used only to help match you with people who share them.
9. We use your browser's local storage — not tracking cookies for advertising — to remember your current session, your interests, and your saved past chats. This is cleared when you close the tab.
10. Links a stranger sends are never opened automatically. We flag them so you can decide for yourself before clicking.
11. If GIFs or stickers are available, they come from a fixed built-in library by ID — we never see, host, or store an image you or a stranger uploads.
12. We don't sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.
13. We may use an automated challenge (a "prove you're not a bot" check) to keep the site usable for real people.
14. Moderators can read reported conversations to enforce the Terms of use. Ordinary, unreported conversations are not reviewed by a person.
15. You can ask us to delete your stored past-chat history at any time — contact us below.
